Saturday, June 7th
Poker Rally

We are meeting at 11:00 AM at Team Mazda/Subaru at 6218 Nampa/Caldwell Blvd. between Nampa and Caldwell. We will be touring Canyon County, visiting various spots and collecting poker cards. We will end for a late lunch and see who has the best poker hand. This fun event is put on by Todd & Candis ctmarshall@clearwire.net and Jerry & Joyce jandjo@cableone.net.

Friday, June 20th
Dairy Days Parade

This annual parade will begin at 7:00 PM and run down Main Street of Meridian from the Speedway to Fairview. We will once again have an entry in the parade. Those joining our entry will need to be at the staging area between 5:00 and 5:30. Arrive at Locust Grove and Watertower (one block south of Franklin) and you will be directed by the parade officials to our staging area. Bring car decorations for the theme “Real Dairy” and a picnic supper. We will decorate our cars and eat while we wait in the staging area. All who would like to participate are asked to contact Carol at the June meeting or call 888-3526 or email Peglegid1@aol.com.


Canyon County Parade of Homes
Sunday, June 22nd

The Snake River Building Contractors Association are holding their annual Parade of Homes. Joyce will be leading us on a drive to tour some of these homes. We will be meeting at 1:00, but we don’t know where until this year’s map is available. Come to the meeting or call Joyce at 461-1567 or email jclobo100@hotmail.com.


“We the People” Parade in Boise
Friday, July 4th

The annual downtown parade will begin at 6:30. We will be having our annual entry in the parade. We will drive together to the staging area. We will meet at 5:00 at the Burger King on State St. and 17th. Bring patriotic decorations for your car. We’ll decorate them in the staging area. Kathy is our contact - 322-7466
At this time we do not have a barbecue planned after the parade. Kathy will not be able to host it this year.

Jazz at the Winery
Sunday, July 6th

Ed will be leading the group to our annual trek to Ste. Chapelle Winery in Sunny Slope. To join the group for the drive over meet at the R. C. Willey parking lot at Franklin and Eagle Roads at 10:30 am. The group will arrive in time to be in line for when the gates open at Noon. Playing that day will be Brianna Bower and Jazz Trio. Admission is $10.00 per person. Music is from 1 pm to 4:30pm. Bring a picnic lunch to eat at the park before the concert. Bistro 29 will be on site if you would like to purchase lunch. Sunday, July 20 – Saturday, 26th
Olympic Peninsula Trip

This is our longest trip we’ve made as a group. We will be gone seven days and six nights. We will be traveling mostly on back roads and will find some great roads and wonderful scenery. The 25 blocked rooms are listed under Boise Miata Club; 13 cars are signed up so far. All Rooms will be released June 20th.
Here is the itinerary:
Sunday, July 20th: Boise to Yakima, WA We will lunch in LaGrande and take fun backroads.
Oxford Suites: 509-457-9000. $95/night for 2 Queen or a King and includes breakfast.
Monday, July 21st: Yakima to Ocean Shores, WA This day will include Mt. Rainier National Park.
Quality Inn: 360-289-2040. $87-135 depending on view and beds. Breakfast included.
Tuesday, July 22nd: Ocean Shores to Port Angeles, WA We will drive 101 up the coast and into Olympia National Park.
Red Lion Hotel– Port Angeles: 360-452-9215 $179 for view room; $159 for non-view King or 2 Queens [2 nights in Port Angeles
Wednesday, July 23rd: Day in Port Angeles
Options for the day: Take ferry to Victoria, BC, drives to Neah Bay or Olympic National Park, visit Port Townsend.
Thursday, July 24th: Port Angeles to Winthrop, WA We plan on taking the Cascade Highway for great scenery.
Hotel Rio Vista: 509-996-3535: Rooms are $110, $120 or $135, all with river views. There is a 20% cancellation fee. We have all the rooms in this hotel blocked.
Friday, July 25th: Winthrop to Clarkston, WA A tour of Eastern Washington and follow the Snake River to Clarkston.
Quality Inn: 509-758-9500: $79.95 for King or $89.95 for 2 Queens. Breakfast included.
Saturday, July 26th: Drive back to Treasure Valley by way of Donnelly where Marv and Connie Miller have invited us to a potluck lunch at their new vacation house.

Friday, August 8th
Boise Hawks Baseball Game

Barbara has arranged an evening at the ball game at Memorial Stadium on Glenwood near the fairgrounds in Garden City. It includes a barbecue dinner, beer and soft drinks before the game in the Hawks Nest and a reserved seat for the baseball game. Tickets are $24/person. Barbara is collecting money at the June meeting. Dinner will be available from 6:00 – 7:15, but get there early.

Dudley and Georgia are hosting again this wonderful evening. The evening will start with a potluck barbecue and Dudley’s specially grilled steaks at 4:00 at Griffins Bring a salad, side dish or dessert. After the early supper we will drive to Garden Valley to Starlight Mountain Theater, an outdoor musical theater.
It will be closing night for Crazy For You. Winner of three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, Crazy For You features a glorious collection of Gershwin tunes that range from such poignant ballads as Someone To Watch Over Me and Embraceable You to the show stopping energy of I Got Rhythm. Crazy For You is a treat for the entire family. It's got rhythm, it's got music, and it’s here at STARLIGHT ... Who could ask for anything more?”
